The projected stop-motion animation showcases the instantaneous explosion of emotions against the societal pressures within our social media infested lives. The hand drawn figure is animated with confusion and anger in response what it is hearing through the vibrantly color earphones. The earphone attached to the projected base symbolizes how subliminal messages from society are masked through social media. Note that they are not plugged into anything as this refers to how the surrounding environment is the detrimental media itself.

Artwork 8: The Fool

Artwork 8 The Fool Title: “The Fool” Date:   2017 Dimension: 200 x 100 cm Media: Acrylic on Wood Panel          The artwork represents my self-perception of my character within the time of its creation. It is deep with symbolism as the format and stylistic features are inspired by the tarot cards most known for its pseudo-scientific means of fortune telling. Fascinated within the world of mysticism, I had intended to exaggerate the imagery of a tarot card to my own telling of my psyche and perception of identity; how I am a fool following the pathway of the masses yet blinded by the confusion of my own desires.  Work in Progress

Artwork 7: Bibit

Artwork 7 Bibit  Title: “Bibit” (series) Date:   2017 Dimension: 42 x 27 cm Media: Embroidery on Paper        The series of embroidered photographs showcase the correlation of the human senses to personal memories. Each photograph was taken from a personal family photo album and provided itself as a base for embroidery.  The series was inspired by the experiences through each generation of my family and how the perception of a memory is manipulated through time.   The embroidered floss weaves the reality of the past and implements the newly articulated feelings of the present to the showcased scene.        Work in Progress
